You should know the name Rebel Wilson by now, right? She’s more of a household name than Olivia Wilde and she’s only been breaking out within the last year and a half or so.
Deadline broke the news yesterday that Wilson sold a script to Universal. She wrote it and will also produce and star in the project. The project is still untitled. In addition to this, and the string or scene stealing roles she’s been in in the last year and a half, she is also writing and starring in the Super Fun Night pilot for ABC, which is being produced by Conan O’Brien, David Kissinger and Jeff Ross. You know, no names.
All of Wilson’s success seems to have literally come out of no where, and I couldn’t be more excited for these projects she has coming up. Not only is Rebel Wilson absolutely hysterical, but because she represents the look of most of society, it’s nice to see Hollywood FINALLY, FINALLY, accepting bigger actresses.
